Wyoming Artifacts

Here are two oil paintings that I completed during fall semester of 2019. They depict Wyoming artifacts, strewn off Highway 34 in Albany County, Wyoming. The top picture displays an odd assortment of vehicles and farm equipment, sculpted in snow; the bottom picture displays box cars, strewn on the landscape. These images are typical of Wyoming scenery. They capture the ecological and cultural history of the people who settled this magnificent wilderness area. I would like to paint more of these landscapes as a way of conveying my thoughts and feelings about my experiences living here these past several decades.
